Who we are

Home Care Nurse Consultant is run by Melissa Lockwood, a Registered Nurse, as a consultancy to aged care providers. In this policy "I", "me" and "my" mean Melissa Lockwood and Home Care Nurse Consultant.

What this policy covers

How I handle personal information when you visit this website, use the contact form, book a call, or get in touch with me.

It does not cover the confidential information I handle when I am engaged by a provider. That is covered by the agreement we sign for the work.

What I collect

• Your name, organisation, email address and phone number, if you give them to me
• Anything you write in a message or booking
• Basic details about how you use the website, such as the pages you visit, the type of device and the browser, collected through cookies and similar tools used by Wix

Please do not send client information

Please do not put the name or details of any client, resident or staff member in the contact form, booking notes or a first email. I do not need them to have a first conversation. If you need to share them, I will tell you how to do that safely.

Why I collect it

• To provide my consulting services if you become a client
• To run and improve this website
• To meet my legal and tax obligations

I do not sell your information. I do not use it for anything unrelated to these purposes. I do not send a newsletter or marketing emails. If that changes, I will update this policy and give you a way to unsubscribe.

Who I share it with

I use some other services to run my business. They handle your information only to provide that service.

• Wix, which hosts this website and its forms
• Calendly, which handles call bookings
• Microsoft 365, which handles my email and calendar

I may also share information if the law requires it.

Overseas storage

Some of these services store information outside Australia. I choose services that publish their privacy and security practices.

Cookies

This website uses cookies, which are small files stored on your device, to make the site work and to understand how it is used. You can turn cookies off in your browser. Some parts of the site may not work as well without them.

Keeping it safe

I keep information in password-protected systems and only keep what I need. I keep records for as long as the law or my professional obligations require.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, and ask me to correct it. Email me and I will reply within a reasonable time.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how I have handled your information, email me first so I can put it right. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes

I may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
